Glassware design with Grasshopper

During the weekend I worked on a consultancy project for the industrial designer Lina Fuentes who designed some glassware pieces which had some vintage diamond patterns on it , modeling this patterns by traditional techniques can be a little bit difficult and tedious, also the control you may have over the elements cannot be so accurate , to solve this I was asked to generate a small algorithm in grasshopper that allows the creation of these patterns in a  more efficient way, for example to have control over the number of elements in each direction of the surface and the height of each component.

urban furniture




This is a quick project i developed for a friend who needed an urban furniture concept the main idaea was to make an organic design so the result is the one you see on the renders it is a group of trash containers to separate oragnic and inorganic waste, it has a central pole, the base its suposed to be reminisent of the branches of a tree and at the upper part of the pole there is an ilumination system of leds wich is powered by a solar cell wich is located at the top of the surface, to make this organic modeling posible i used t splines tools for rhino.

rhinoscript concept furniture




This are some concept furniture ideas i had using the rhinoscript I previously made the surfaces in these exaples are made by panels of plywood and could be joined togheter with cotton ropes in the same way that the Knitted Chair of Emiliano Godoy.
